The old microsoft is back – the elephants in the room

After being at MIX08, it is all old Microsoft again at the Microsoft Partner Conference in Houston.

I’m sitting in this session where partners of Microsoft are worried about the fact that the iPhone will be on the market next friday. The massive advertising campaign here in the USA ends with the Microsoft ActiveSync logo. These small business resellers do have issue about how to deal with this. The Microsoft representative has been dancing around the issue for over 10 minutes, knowing that the session will eventually end, while these partners – living in the real world – seem to have understood the issue and its urgency…

Oh yes, as there is a 2 year contract sold with the iPhone, the problem is not likely to go away in a few days :-)
